چکیده

Electric-field control of magnetism via an inverse magnetostrictive effect is alternative path toward improving energy-efficient storage and sensing devices based on a giant magnetoresistance effect. In this Letter, we report lateral electric-field driven strain-mediated modulation magnetotransport properties in Co/Cu/Py pseudo spin valve grown ferroelectric 0.7Pb[Mg 1/3 Nb 2/3 )]O 3 –0.3PbTiO substrate. We show decrease the ratio with increase electric field, which attributed to deviation Co layer magnetization from initial direction due strain-induced magnetoelastic anisotropy contribution. Additionally, demonstrate that magnetic effectively shifts switching field layer, while keeping nearly zero-magnetostrictive Py unaffected its negligible magnetostriction. argue magnetostrictively optimized films properly engineered multilayered structures can offer enhancing selective spintronic devices.

Micromagnetics Simulation of Asymmetric Pseudo-Spin Valve Dots

We present our recent simulation results for Ni79Fe21 (5 nm)/Cu (3 nm)/Co (4nm) pseudo-spin valves. These simulations have been conducted on several different aspect ratios of rectangular dots. Distinct switches of the two magnetic layers were observed. At smaller aspect ratios, magnetization reversal proceeds through a leaf state in the soft layer and a flower state in the hard layer. For larg...

A Structural-magnetic Strain Model for Magnetostrictive Transducers

This paper addresses the modeling of strains generated by magnetostrictive transducers in response to applied magnetic elds. The measured strains are dependent upon both the rotation of moments within the material in response to the eld and the elastic properties of the material. The magnetic behavior is characterized through the consideration of the Jiles-Atherton mean eld theory for ferromagn...

A comparative study of magnetostrictive strain in Pr3Fe24.75Co2.75Ti1.5-ingot and Pr3Fe24.75Co2.75Ti1.5-melt spun

In this work, the structural and magnetic properties of ingot and melt-spun Pr3Fe24.75Co2.75Ti1.5 compounds have been investigated. The structural characterization of the compounds, by X-ray powder diffraction, is evidenced for a monoclinic Nd3(Fe,Ti)29-type structure (A2/m space group). A 2-type FOMP have been observed in the magnetic AC susceptibility curves of the ingot and melt-spun compoun...

An Active and Structural Strain Model for Magnetostrictive Transducers

We consider the modeling of strains generated by magnetostrictive materials in response to applied magnetic elds. The active or external component of the strain is due to the rotation of magnetic moments within the material to align with the applied eld. This is characterized through consideration of the Jiles-Atherton mean eld theory for ferromagnetic hysteresis in combination with a quadratic...

Strain Induced Vortex Core Switching in Planar Magnetostrictive Nanostructures.

The dynamics of magnetic vortex cores is of great interest because the gyrotropic mode has applications in spin torque driven magnetic microwave oscillators, and also provides a means to flip the direction of the core for use in magnetic storage devices. Here, we propose a new means of stimulating magnetization reversal of the vortex core by applying a time-varying strain gradient to planar str...
